Dhaka Cantonment Girls Public School and College very reported School in the Dhaka city, started its journey in August 2005 intending to create dynamic womenfolk for future Bangladesh. Lt Col Md Zahid Hossain, AEC (Retd as Brig Gen) was postes as first Principal. Initial works were started under the supervision of the AHQ Education Directorate. Brig Gen Md. Golam Hossain the then Comd, Army Sig Bde was nominated as the first Chairman of the Governing Body of the institution by the then Chief of Army Staff

It specialized high school for girls. This school only allow female student for secondary level studies. School has prestigious status in district for it good performance in SSC exam. Every year school made a circular to enroll new student in institute as policy of the ministry of education of the government of Bangladesh. It vision to inspire each student to exhibit honesty, discipline, wisdom, competence, humanity and dedication in their character and make each girl as an asset to ensure their participation in various social and cultural activities.
