Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University
Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University is a higher educational organization in Bangladesh. It is commonly known by its acronym SFMU, is an accredited as the first private university at Jamalpur in Mymensingh division of Bangladesh. It was established in 2013 and founded by an educationist, a promising leader of Bangladesh Awami League Mirza Azam MP. SFMU is ascribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh.
The permanent campus of the university is under construction on 30 acres of land in a center point of Jamalpur city. presently located on the temporary campus of the university on two multi storied building. SFMU ensures a high quality of education and aims to meet the demands of present-day. It follows a generous talents approach to education which encourages renewed ideas and gives new stimulus to the field of tertiary education. It hopes to instill in its students a commitment to working towards national development and progress.
