Aftab Hatchery Limited (AHL), a concern of Islam Group (IG) of Companies was incorporated as a Private limited company in 2001 under the Companies Act 1994 and Certificate of Incorporation No#C-42263 (1622)/ 2001 and envisaged to establish a Parent Broiler Breeder Rearing cum Hatchery farm to meet the growing demand of Day Old Chicks (DOCs) in poultry sectors. It has been converted to Public Limited Company in 2014

Mr. Jahurul Islam, a legendary business man was the main entrepreneur of IG and has turned it to one of the leading conglomerates of Bangladesh. Engaging in long sighted diversification, AHL is the first company of Bangladesh to maintain the long chain from Grand Parent Stock to further process products by itself and through subsidiaries and affiliated companies

The groups’ humble debut occurred with the inception of Eastern Housing Ltd. Now, the group is running 8 industrial units on large area in various locations. IG has attained remarkable achievements in Poultry, Fisheries, agro business, housing, real estate, construction, pharmaceuticals, and medical college with more to in the pipeline. Moreover, the group has large distribution and marketing network.

IG has attained various global and national awards in various categories. The Head Office of the company is located at its Group Office: Islam Chamber, 125/A, Motijheel C/A, Dhaka and hatchery is located at Bhagalpur, Bajitpur, Kishoreganj.
