Embassy of Turkey in Dhaka

The Embassy of Turkey in Dhaka has maintained diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and the Republic of Turkey.

The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Turkey and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh were established on 22 February 1974. The Embassy of Turkey in Dhaka was opened by Mr. Faruk Loğoğlu, Charge d’Affaires a.i. in 1976.

The purview of the Embassy is entire Bangladesh. An Honorary Consulate General was also established in Chittagong, in 1986.

The Consular Section of the Embassy serves the Turkish citizens for their applications regarding passport, citizenship, notary and etc. The visa applications of Bangladesh citizens and third-country nationals are also treated by the Consular Section.
